Saturn Awards: The X-Files Is Nominated

Season 10 impressed the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. The X-Files is nominated for Best Science Fiction TV Series. In addition, David Duchovny (Mulder) is nominated for Best TV Actor and Gillian Anderson (Scully) is nominated for Best TV Actress. The X-Files: The Collector’s Set received a nomination for Best DVD/Blu-ray TV Release.
Historically, The X-Files is a recipient of three awards for Best Network TV Series. Anderson won Best TV Actress for her portrayal of Scully, whereas Robert Patrick won Best TV Actor for his portrayal of Doggett.


US TV Ratings: “My Struggle II”

The X-Files finishes as the most-watched scripted series in its time slot. “My Struggle II” posted a 7.59 million viewership. It was the #1 program of Monday night (February 22) in the key 18-49 demographic, with a 2.4 rating.
Season 10 averaged 9.53 million viewers.

US TV Ratings: “Babylon”

As expected, the Grammy Awards hurt other shows, and unfortunately FOX decided to put The X-Files against it. “Babylon” posted a 7.07 million viewership and earned a 2.1 rating in the key demographic of adults 18-49. The X-Files was still the most-watched scripted series of Monday night, though.
